Escondido Creek at Elfin Forest Elfin Forest Reserve is located in north county/Escondido area. The reserve spans some 750 acres and through it runs Escondido Creek which begins at 2500ft northeast of the city and eventually ends at the Pacific Ocean via the San Elijo Lagoon. This image was taken one beautiful Fall morning at the reserve. You could hear the creek as you walked onto the trail. It was my first time there and this is what I saw when I walked up to the viewing area.
